I am a 15yr old girl and the only way I can get sexually turned on is by thinking of me and my father engaging in sexual intercoarse. I can’t orgasm by thinking of anything else. I’ve tried, but I always come back to my father. Is there something wrong with me?

Our imagination allows us to survey forbidden thoughts or helps to deliver us to fantasies that we would not dare to live in reality. Usually it remains hidden within our inner secret garden and doesn’t provoke feelings of guilt or isn’t called into question. However, the taboo of incest carries with it a huge symbolic load, one cannot transgress it, and it is probably because of that that you may be disturbed. And then, since things are rarely ever simple to think about in your head, maybe it serves as a home to the emotional needs that you require answered by your father or your mother – something you’ve been waiting for a long time. If you have feelings of guilt or an uneasiness that persists, I believe that it would be good for you to meet and talk to someone who’s knowledgeable about psychology (for example, visit your local CLSC) or someone that would help you analyze this fantasy so that you can eventually reach a more fulfilling sexuality.
