Is pregnancy possible if we both have clothes on?

Does pregnancy is possible when both male and female on clothes

Hi Lassy!

Thank you for reaching out to us, your trust means a lot. If I am not mistaken, you were wondering if one can get pregnant if both man and women have clothes on.

In order for someone to get pregnant, there are lots of conditions that have to be met! First of all, sperm, a whitish bodily fluid, has to be released from the penis. The sperm has to enter the vaginal canal, and reach a woman’s egg to fertilize it in order for her to get pregnant. However, the woman has to be in her fertile window, which means that her body is ready to host a baby. This window is about 10 days long, which is the 5 days before and after the release of an egg in the woman’s body, and it’s when the chances of getting pregnant are the highest. Also, clothes can act as a physical barrier, but sperm can sometimes pass through fabric if it’s thin or soaked in bodily fluids.

That said, if there is no sexual intercourse, no sperm is released from the penis and that sperm wasn’t near the opening of the vagina, and the woman isn’t in her fertility window, pregnancy is extremely unlikely. If ever there is still doubt as if wether the woman’s egg could’ve been fertilized, she could take a pregnancy test, just to be certain.

I hope this answers your question! Don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any other concerns:)

Sincerely,

Charlotte (she/her), volunteer for AlterHéros
