Does swallowing your partners fluid before sexual intercourse increase a male’s libido or perhaps enhance the durability and duration of the sex time?

Hi Egbuna Chris Chinemerem!

First of all, I want to thank you for trusting AlterHéros to answer your question. I will try to give you an answer that is as clear as I possibly can! 🙂

So, you are wondering about the act of ‘’swallowing’’, and more specifically the effects it might have on the desire to have sex and the length of a sexual intercourse. Am I reading this correctly?

Biologically, the simplest answer to your question is –no-. There is no correlation between swallowing fluids and libido, stamina, or anything related to sexual performance. It does not have any particular or lasting effects on the quality or the duration of sexual intercourse… Actually, once semen is swallowed, it follows the usual course down the digestive tube, just like food or drinks you might ingest. This is also the reason why people can’t get pregnant by swallowing their partner’s semen: because the mouth, the digestive tube and the stomach are not connected to the reproductive organs.

So, there has been no reports or studies correlating the act of swallowing semen and the duration of sexual intercourse. However, the act of ‘’swallowing’’ fluids such as semen can be arousing for certain people. ‘’Kinks’’, fantasies and sexual preferences vary from one person to another and can cause all sorts of physiological reactions in the body. So, if swallowing semen (or witnessing a partner swallowing semen) is a turn on for someone, then it is possible that thinking about it increases the person’s desire to have sex. However, it is not correlated to the substance in itself. The mind is powerful, and sometimes, even a simple image can spark up desire 🙂

Libido is a very personal thing, in the sense that no one’s libido is quite the same. Much like anything else in life, it has its ups and downs, and it can be influenced by tons and tons of stuff – a specific situation in your life, stress or anxiety, happiness, an illness (a serious one or even just a cold!), the time of the year… However, very few (if any!) substances actually play a role in maintaining or enhancing someone’s libido.

I suggest you to take a look to this article for more info : So is it better to spit or swallow?

I hope this answer brings you a little more clarity! If it doesn’t fully answer your question, or if it sparked any more questioning in your mind, don’t hesitate to write back – we are always happy to help!
